Hi, I’m Alison Boothroyd, a Contemporary Expressive Abstract Artist based in Altrincham, near Manchester. I specialise in atmospheric and expressive artwork inspired by the beauty of the natural world. My paintings invite viewers to slow down, reconnect emotionally, and escape into their imagination through colour, movement, and texture.

I work intuitively, drawing from rich visual memories and feelings shaped by time spent in nature. The energy and movement of water, the textures on bark, and the delicate forms developed in different seasons, all influence my creative process.
